2006 (56) BMW ALPINA B7 SALOON

This Alpina B7 is a well-optioned and relatively low-mileage example of the BMW tuner's flagship performance saloon of the era. Featuring a 4.4-litre supercharged V8 producing 493bhp and 515lb-ft of torque, this executive express uses a six-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted shift buttons. The odometer indicates 92,000 km (57,300 miles) from new.

First registered on 18 December 2006, this B7 was originally delivered to the Japanese market before being imported to the UK. This B7 is number 114 of 311 built, and it is believed to be one of only 10 completed in right-hand drive. It has just one owner on British shores, who imported it in early 2020.

The third generation of the B7 was first introduced to the public in pre-facelift form at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. It was the first B7 model to use a supercharger, and is 150kg lighter than the comparative BMW 760Li due to the use of a V8 instead of a V12 engine.

Finished in the alluring shade of Blue Onyx, we believe this to be the sole E65-generation B7 manufactured in this shade. The paint finish is in good condition and retains its metallic flake, with only minor stone chipping apparent on the front end.

Moving inside, the B7's cabin is an opulent blend of luxury features and elegant design. Heavily optioned with multi-zone climate control, electrically-operated heated seats with driver's memory function, rear blind and more.

The Merino Platinum leather retains its suppleness, with the only small blemishes apparent on the driver's side bolster. Alpina-specific features including the blue-backed dials, manufacturing plaque, and branded steering wheel and carpets are all in excellent order.

Benefiting from a recent service, this B7 received an oil change with replacement spark plugs as well as a gearbox service from Autowerx Milton Keynes at 90,495 km (56,230 miles).

An aftermarket Brembo big brake kit has been fitted, which improves the stopping performance considerably. During the previous ownership, a new mass air flow sensor has also been fitted. Prior to this ownership, the Alpina was serviced by BMW Gunma in Japan.

Now offered for sale to another enthusiast, this B7 includes its original handbooks, service history paperwork, a complete BMW tool kit, spare wheel and two keys.

Combining understated performance with rarity and a very handsome colour scheme, this Alpina B7 is a very well-presented example. It would make for a reliable and spacious daily driver, or a soothing yet immensely powerful companion on any long-distance journey.
