Launched in 2018, the Ferrari Icona Series offered limited-production vehicles, enhancing Formula One engineering with design influences from Ferrari's most iconic, historic and exotic racing cars. Offered to Ferrari's most discerning clients and are seldom publicly offered for sale.
The much-anticipated SP3 model was the third addition to the Icona series and the SP3 Daytona was inspired by the marque's legendary endurance Sport Prototypes of the 1960s, most obviously, the 330 P3/4. These historic race cars were dominant in period and achieved the fabled 1-2-3 success at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona.
The heart of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a naturally aspirated mid-mounted 6.5-liter V-12 producing a massive 829 horsepower without the any hybrid assistance. This was the most powerful Ferrari internal combustion engine ever built by Ferrari producing 829 horsepower at a towering 9250 rpm - resulting in 128 bhp/litre. Coupled to a quick shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission performance was dramatic with 0–100 km/h covered in just 2.85 seconds, while 0–200 km/h arrives in 7.4 seconds. Today the SP3 is considered Ferrari's greatest ever road ar.
