The term 'Ultimate drivers Car' is most auspicious of monikers and a number of factors contributed to the reputation of the GT2, not least of which was a mighty power output, a lack of electronic driver aids and a vast power delivery. The 3.6-litre motor was lifted from the 996 Turbo, itself no slouch, but with some key changes. Chief among them larger turbochargers and boost pressure increased to 13.5psi that meant a power output of 462bhp and a top speed close to 200mph. 0-62mph arrived in just 4.1sec and sprinted on to an incredible 196mph, and its race pedigree doesn't end with the engine, the GT2 has Carbon Ceramic Brakes. The Ultimate Driver's car earned its title not just because of its performance - Top Gear said it was the first truly every day usable Supercar. One of only 129 in the UK, in superb condition and with excellent history makes this example a serious appreciating Classic.
